Born in Sydney Nova Scotia in 1960, Rob Crosby has been painting for over 30 years. Now living in Ontario, his heart still belongs to the east coast. This is very evident in his subject matter. Rob graduated from the Niagara College, taking the fine arts program.
He has shown in many different venues, including McMichael Canadian Art Gallery, The Niagara Pumphouse, Glenhyrst Art Gallery, Lunenburg Gallery, Art District Gallery just to name a few. As well as several art festivals each year .
Painting in acrylics, Rob finds it a more versatile medium. He also developed a passion for photography that allows him to paint from his own photos. His favorite subjects are landscaping, fishing villages and his two beautiful children. Colour and texture are a very important part of his work and tends to be more of a realist painter than anything else.
