Diana Suranyi, the creative force behind Moss Hill Pottery is originally from Hungary, and has been making ceramics for the last 30 years and counting. After graduation she started as an apprentice at a ceramic studio in Budapest, Hungary for three years, and after her certification she worked at three different studios for six years. She started her own studio in 1995 in Budapest, and since 2003 she worked first in Ontario and now in New Brunswick. Her wheel thrown and hand built pieces are inspired by the world around her; flowers and trees, rocks and clouds, ocean shores and mountains. Now based in Lepreau, NB, she continues to create functional art for anyone to use and enjoy.
