Denise D’Aoust is originally from Montreal, QC. She currently splits her time between Saint John, NB and Baltimore, MD. Denise works as a silk artist, creating beautiful and delicate silk scarves. She is primarily self-taught, but attended many workshops and classes between 1972 and 1987. Her work has been exhibited in many juried exhibitions and she has won awards at the Art League of Virginia, the Potamic Craftsman Gallery, and the Maryland Federation of Art. Denise’s work has been exhibited at the Maryland Federation of Art, Emerson Gallery in McLean, VA, and the Aurora Gallery in Annapolis. Her art can also be found at the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria, VA.
